Important Note on ADU Expansions:
If an ADU is created by converting an existing accessory structure, it may be exempt from sewer capacity charges only if the expansion does not exceed 150 square feet. If the expansion exceeds 150 square feet, the exemption no longer applies, and the sewer capacity charge is calculated based on the total square footage of the ADU, not just the additional area.
